Cary

My handsome, funny, loving, smart, absolutely amazing cousin Cary passed away on July 4. I am devastated to be losing my cousin and friend.
Cary was so awesome! He was so talented and could do anything he put his mind to. He was a DJ in Salt Lake for many years. He made a big name for himself by owning, running, and deejaying many of the hot night clubs there. Cary also finished school to be a pilot. He enjoyed flying, but music was always his first love. His music took him all over the world! He was well known in San Fransisco and Mexico where he'd deejay music events for over 300 people all night long.
Cary loved Mexico. He was always going down there just to enjoy himself. Lay in the sand and have fresh mango margaritas. His ultimate goal was to open a frozen yogurt store and grow old there.
He was very dedicated to his family and friends. Often taking time out of his busy schedule to help others. He loved his mother with his whole heart. We often spent times talking about how he could help her. He also loved my mother. My mom watched him a lot when he was growing up and they became forever buds. They have a special bond that I like to think I have with Noah.
I am so grateful for the time we spent together in late May. I just only wished I could have seen him more. But our weekly texts of "luv ya cuz" kept us close. He always called me Chelsea Marie and when people would correct him "that just wasn't [my] middle name"... we'd laugh. We always had a good time joking, laughing, talking while laying around together. He told me once "Sometimes, you just need to stop and lay in the grass." and I always think about that when my life gets to crazy. Slow down and enjoy the beauty around you. And Cary did.
Cary, you'll forever be in my heart! I have looked up to you my whole life and I hope to be just like you. When you wanted something; you got it. You saw your goals, you aimed.. and you reached them. All of them. You had such trials and tribulations in your life, yet you kept going. You held your head high and you always had a smile with it. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being you. I love you.
